More than 100 years of two-way interaction has made Marxism and Chinese culture present a basic situation of mutual integration and deep integration in theory and practice, and conflict and convergence are the basic manifestations of the relationship between the two. The theoretical fit is mainly reflected in the two aspects of philosophical thinking and value goals, which have gone through four periods of initial exploration, debugging, in-depth development, strengthening and maturity for a hundred years, and have formed landmark theoretical and practical achievements, and the main achievements of the new era are Xi Jinping Cultural Thought. 百余年的双向互动使马克思主义与中华文化在理论与实践上呈现出互相奔赴、深相结合的基本态势，冲突与契合是二者关系的基本表现。理论上的契合性主要体现在哲学思维和价值目标两个方面，历经初步探索、调试、深入发展及强化与成熟四个时期已有百年历程，并形成了标志性理论、实践成果，新时代的主要成果表现为习近平文化思想。当前推进“第二个结合”必须坚持用马克思主义的科学方法赋予中华优秀传统文化新的生机与活力，坚持以人民为中心的价值取向发挥人民主体力量，坚持在中国特色社会主义的生动实践中推动二者结合。
