Research on the Synergistic Path of Integrating Xi Jinping’s Discourse on Sports into University Ideological and Political Education

President Xi Jinping’s important discourses on sports provide a new theoretical foundation and practical guidance for ideological and political education in higher education institutions. This paper uses the bibliometric analysis tool VOSviewer to analyze current research hotspots related to sports and ideological-political education. Guided by synergy theory, it proposes specific pathways for integrating President Xi Jinping’s important discourses on sports into ideological and political education in universities.By promoting collaborative integration in curriculum design, campus culture, evaluation mechanisms, and faculty team building, the paper explores how to fully leverage the unique advantages of sports in ideological and political education at higher education institutions. This approach aims to empower students’ all-round development in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor skills, thereby promoting innovation and development in ideological and political education at universities.
