Objective: This study aims to explore the conflicts and challenges faced by child care teachers in the field despite the provision of education and programs aimed at respecting children's rights. Methods: Utilizing the photovoice method, the actual experiences of teachers were analyzed. Results: The study identified three main themes in the implementation process of respecting children's rights in childcare: ‘Changed awareness, Unchanged concerns,’ ‘Tailored childcare to meet parents' demands,’ and ‘Unsteady childcare.’ First, although teachers' awareness of respect for children's rights has increased, these teachers continue to experience confusion and difficulties in the process of respecting children's rights. Second, due to neoliberal childcare policies, childcare changed to childcare tailored to parents' needs, and teachers were experiencing identity confusion in the process of practicing childcare activities. Third, teachers were experiencing difficulties in childcare activities because there were no clear guidelines or practical support for practicing childcare that respects children's rights. Conclusions: This study emphasizes the need for practical support and detailed guidelines for teachers to implement childcare that respects children's rights, and it highlights the importance of cooperation among teachers, parents, and the government.
