대구지역 정신건강복지센터 종사자의 코로나19 초기대응 경험에 관한 연구

A Study on the Experience of Early Response to COVID-19 of Workers at Community Mental Health Welfare Center in Daegu

2020년 1월, 코로나19 첫 번째 확진자가 발생하고 3년 더 지난 2023년 9월, 위기단계가 하향되고 감염병 등급이 조정되면서 실질적인 엔데믹을 맞이하였다. 본 연구는 대한민국에서 코로나19 제1차 대유행을 경험한 대구지역 정신건강복지센터 현장의 초기상황과 종사자의 경험을 통해 정신건강복지센터의 재난심리지원의 초기 대응과 변화과정, 그것의 의미가 무엇인지 이해하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 대구지역의 정신건강복지센터 종사자 11명을 2회에 걸쳐 초점집단면접을 진행하고 귀납적 주제 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 4개의 범주에 8개의 하위범주, 20개의 의미단위로 묶을 수 있었다. 코로나19 첫 대유행과 국가적 혼란을 경험하면서 ‘재난 심리지원 업무’가 새롭게 추가되었고, 업무량의 확증에 적절히 대응하지 못하면서 ‘업무수행의 방향성을 상실’하는 경험과 ‘코로나 관련 스트레스’를 크게 경험하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 정책적 및 실천적 내용을 반영하여 몇 가지 제언하였다.

In September 2023, three more years after the first confirmed case of COVID-19 occurred in January 2020, the crisis level was lowered and the infectious disease rating was adjusted, finally approaching endemic status. This study examines the initial situation and experience of workers at a community mental health welfare center in Daegu, which experienced the first COVID-19 pandemic in Korea, and examines the initial response and change process of disaster psychological support at community mental health welfare centers, and what it means. It was conducted to understand cognition. For this purpose, two focus group interviews were conducted with 11 workers at a community mental health welfare center in the Daegu area, and inductive thematic analysis was conducted. As a result of the analysis, it was possible to group it into 4 categories, 8 subcategories, and 20 meaning units. As we experienced the first COVID-19 pandemic and national chaos, ‘disaster psychological support work’ was newly added, and as we were unable to respond appropriately to the confirmed workload, we experienced ‘loss of direction in work performance’ and great ‘COVID-19-related stress.’ Based on the research results, several suggestions were made by reflecting policy and practical details.
