The Red Gene in Ideological and Political Education : Focusing on the Spread of the May Fourth Spirit in Zhejiang

思政教育中的红色基因—以五四精神在浙江的传播为中心

The essence of red cultural resources is the red gene represented by patriotic and progressive young people. As the birthplace of the Chinese Communist Party, Zhejiang's historical and cultural background provided fertile soil for the spread of the May Fourth spirit. This article first reviews the formation of the progressive youth force in Zhejiang on the eve of the May Fourth Movement, and analyzes the historical, educational and cultural factors behind it. Next, it focuses on describing the process of Zhejiang youth actively participating in protests during the May Fourth Movement, forming a wave of anti-imperialist patriotism, and the establishment and role of the Zhejiang Student Federation. In particular, the publication of progressive journals such as Zhejiang XinChao promoted the spread of new ideas and social awakening. It is concluded that the core concepts of the May Fourth spirit, such as patriotism and the scientific spirit, are still of great significance to contemporary ideological and political education, and can cultivate a sense of social responsibility and innovation in young students, contributing to the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. By exploring the spread of the May Fourth spirit in Zhejiang, it can provide a wealth of material and practical examples for ideological and political education in the new era.

红色文化的本质是红色基因，红色基因的落地生根就是红色青年。浙江作为中国共产党的发源地，其深厚的历史文化背景为五四精神的传播提供了肥沃土壤。本文首先回顾了五四前夕浙江进步青年力量的形成，分析了其背后的历史、教育和文化因素。接着，重点分析了五四运动期间浙江青年积极参与抗议活动、形成反帝爱国浪潮的过程，以及浙江学生联合会的成立与作用。特别指出，爱国青年们通过创办《浙江新潮》等进步刊物，推动了新思想的传播和社会的觉醒。结论认为，五四精神的核心理念，如爱国主义和科学精神，对当代思想政治教育具有重要意义，能够培养青年学生的社会责任感和创新意识，为实现中华民族的伟大复兴贡献力量。通过挖掘五四精神在浙江的传播，能够为新时代的思政教育提供丰富的素材和实践案例。
