지역특화 학교공연예술 참여와 학생의 집단 자아정체성: 학생뮤지컬 <빗창>을 중심으로

Effects of Participation in Regional Specialized School Performing Arts on Students' Self-Identity: Focusing on the Student Musical “Bitchang”

As of 2024, musical-related research emphasizes the nature of converging the educational field with traditional performing arts, and when students participate as actors, collective self-identity can be formed and the possibility of development into local love talents can be increased. This study compares the contents of the cartoon Kim Hong-mo, based on the student musical “Bitchang” of the alternative school Dongbaek Small School, to study the relationship between participation in local specialized school performing arts and students' collective self-identity. To this end, first of all, the convergence of the musical genre is discussed on the premise that the school produces a musical for educational purposes and actually performs, and the collective self-identity that can appear to the students who participated in this education is diagnosed. Next, the researcher will examine the characteristics of regional specialization used as the subject matter of school musicals by the Jeju Haenyeo anti-Japanese movement and Jeju 4·3 and discuss educational methodologies focusing on the use of language and non-verbal media. Third, by analyzing the content of the musical “Bitchang” together with the original text, the researcher infers the formation of students' collective self-identity. This study confirmed the logic that students will eventually develop into a pro-social consensus by participating in musical production and acting and forming a collective self-identity embodied in local emotions. Finally, this study is meaningful in providing academic motivation for the development of a methodology that can contribute to the establishment of students' collective self-identity by using historical figures or facts corresponding to regional specialization as the subject of school musical production.
