청소년의 폭력피해 경험과 자살충동의 관계 검증

A Study on the Relationship Between Adolescents' Experiences of Violence and Suicidal Impulses

이 연구에서는 가정폭력이나 학교폭력과 같은 전통적 유형의 폭력피해와 최근 급증하고 있는 사이버불링 등 사이버폭 력의 피해경험이 청소년들의 우울감과 자살충동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 연구결과 남학생과 여학생 모두 학대와 방임 등 가정폭력 경험과 사이버불링 피해경험의 순으로 우울에 매개하여 자살충동 에 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 여학생은 학교폭력 피해경험이 자살충동에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 상대적으로 남학생에 비해 여학생이 학교폭력과 자살충동에 보다 민감한 감정적 상관관계를 형성하고 있는 것으 로 분석되었다. 따라서 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 소위 전통적 요인이라 할 수 있는 가정폭력 피해경험과 사이버불링과 같은 사이버폭력 피해 경험이 남학생과 여학생의 자살충동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 공통적 요인임을 알 수 있다. 또한 최근 스마트폰과 같은 디지털 기기의 급속한 보급에 따라 온라인 공간이 청소년들의 주요 활동영역으로 자리 잡으면서 사이버불링과 같은 사이버폭력이 청소 년기에 폭력피해 경험에 매우 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있음을 유추케 한다. 그러므로 청소년기에 발생하는 가정폭력과 사이버불링 등의 사이버폭력을 억제할 수 있는 사회적 대안모색이 시급하며, 이와 같은 피해경험에 의해 자살충동과 등의 다양한 내적 갈등과 고민, 위기상황에 직면한 청소년들에 대한 종합적 지원대책이 수립 되어야 할 것이다.

This study empirically examines the effects of traditional forms of violence, such as domestic violence and school violence, as well as the rapidly increasing phenomenon of cyberbullying, on adolescents' depression and suicidal impulse. As a result, for both male and female students, experiences of domestic violence, including abuse and neglect, followed by experiences of cyberbullying, significantly influence suicidal impulse through their mediating effect on depression. However, among female students, it is suggested that experiences of school violence have a direct effect on suicidal impulse, suggesting that females exhibit a relatively stronger emotional correlation between school violence and suicidal ideation compared to males. Based on the result, it is evident that experiences of domestic violence, a traditional factor, and experiences of cyberbullying, a form of cyber violence, are significant common factors influencing suicidal ideation among both male and female adolescents. Furthermore, with the rapid proliferation of digital devices such as smartphones, online spaces have become a primary activity domain for adolescents, indicating that cyber violence, such as cyberbullying, constitutes a critical part of violence-related experiences during adolescence. Therefore, it is imperative to seek societal solutions to prevent domestic violence and cyberbullying occurring during adolescence. Comprehensive support measures must also be developed for adolescents facing various internal conflicts, crises, and suicidal ideation due to these victimization experiences.
