The Relationship Between Personality Types and Major Satisfaction in Nursing Students

본 연구는 간호대학생의 성격유형과 전공만족도의 관계를 분석한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 206명으로 여학생이 69.4%로 대다수를 차지했으며, 성격유형은 성실형이 44.7%로 가장 많았다. 전공만족도는 과목만족이 평균 4.17점(표준편차±1.03)으로 가장 높았으며, 학년별로는 4학년이 4.01점(표준편차±0.75)으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 성별에 따라 여학생이 남학생보다 유의미하게 높은 전공만족도를 보였고(F=7.95, p<.01), 학년별로도 유의미한 차이가 확인되었다(F=6.03, p<.001). 성격유형과 전공만족도의 상관관계 분석 결과, 두 변수 간에는 정(+)의 상관관계가 나타났으며(r=.215, p<.001), 이는 성격유형이 전공만족도에 유의한 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 학생들의 성격적 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 교육 전략 개발의 필요성을 제언한다

This study analyzed the relationship between personality types and major satisfaction among nursing students. The study included 206 participants, with female students accounting for 69.4% of the total. The most common personality type was sincerity (44.7%). Among the components of major satisfaction, subject satisfaction had the highest average score of 4.17 (SD±1.03), and fourth-year students reported the highest satisfaction level at 4.01 (SD±0.75). Female students showed significantly higher major satisfaction than male students (F=7.95, p<.01), and there were significant differences in satisfaction levels by academic year (F=6.03, p<.001). Correlation analysis revealed a positive relationship between personality types and major satisfaction (r=.215, p<.001), indicating that personality traits can significantly influence satisfaction levels. This study suggests the need to develop tailored educational strategies that reflect the personality traits of students to enhance academic satisfaction and outcomes
