PROMPT 중재가 말실행증 아동의 양순음 및 모음정확도 향상에 미치는 효과: 단일대상연구

Effects of PROMPT Intervention on Improving Bilabial and Vowel Accuracy in Children with Apraxia of Speech: A Single-subject Study

본 연구에서는 말실행증으로 진단된 만 5세 아동 1명을 대상으로 6주 동안 단일대상연구를 통해 PROMPT(Prompts for restructuring oral muscular phonetic targets) 중재가 말실행증 아동의 양순음 및 모음정확도에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 사전사후검사에서 자음 정확도와 모음 정확도가 각 30.2%와 30%의 높은 향상을 보였으며 목표로 한 양순음 및 모음은 물론, 목표로 하지 않은 자음의 정확도에도 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 또한 회기별로 양순음 정확도와 모음 정확도를 측정한 결과 PROMPT 중재를 적용한 단계에서는 정확도가 지속적으로 향상되는 모습을 보였으나 중재를 철회하자 정확도가 낮아지는 결과가 나타남으로써 PROMPT 중재가 모음과 양순음, 기타 다른 자음들의 정확도 향상에도 유의미한 영향을 주었음을 나타내었다.

In this study, we investigated the effects of the PROMPT (Prompts for restructuring oral muscular phonetic targets) intervention on the bilabial and vowel accuracy of a 5-year-old child diagnosed with apraxia through a single-subject study for 6 weeks. The results of the study showed that consonant accuracy and vowel accuracy improved significantly by 30.2% and 30% in the pre- and post-tests, respectively, and that the accuracy of not only the target bilabial and vowels but also the non-target consonants was affected. In addition, when the bilabial and vowel accuracy were measured by session, the accuracy continuously improved during the PROMPT intervention phase, but decreased when the intervention was withdrawn, indicating that the PROMPT intervention also had a significant effect on improving the accuracy of vowels, bilabial, and other consonants.
