The Effects of Rosenbek's Eight-Step Treatment on Word Imitation Ability in Patients with Apraxia of Speech: A Single subject Study

이 연구에서는 Rosenbek에 의한 8단계 단서가 실어증을 동반한 말실행증 환자의 자발적인 어휘 인출 능력과 음절모방에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 대상자는 브로카 실어증(Broca aphasia) 증상을 보인다. 청각적 이해 능력은 비교적 좋은 편이나, 비유창성 실어증의 대표적인 유형으로서 말이 유창하지 못한 특징을 보이고 따라말하기에도 오류를 많이 보였다. 단일 대상으로 치료전후의 진전 상태를 비교하였으며, 총 1개월간 5회기(회기별 30분 치료) 치료하였다. 그 결과 대상자의 따라말하기, 기능적인 의사소통 능력이 모두 향상되었다.

In this study, we investigated the effects of Rosenbek's 8-step cue on the spontaneous vocabulary retrieval ability and syllable imitation of patients with apraxia of speech with aphasia. The subject showed symptoms of Broca's aphasia. Although his auditory comprehension ability was relatively good, he showed the characteristic of speech incompatibility as a representative type of nonfluent aphasia and showed many errors in repeating. The progress before and after treatment was compared with a single subject, and a total of 5 sessions (30 minutes per session) were treated for 1 month. As a result, the subject's repeating and functional communication skills both improved.
