A Study on the Role of Ideological and Political Education in College Students’ Career Guidance

DOI : 10.51600/jass.2024.12.4.79

The successful employment of college graduates is a critical driver of societal development, reflecting the necessity of addressing both individual aspirations and broader economic goals. This study explores the integration of ideological and political education (IPE) with career guidance to prepare graduates for evolving workplace challenges. By analyzing the 2024 Graduate Employability Survey Report conducted by Zhaopin, along with insights from academic literature, this research identifies key trends, including the growing emphasis on job stability, the rise in flexible employment, and increasing interest in high-end manufacturing. The study highlights how IPE fosters moral guidance, enhances employability, and equips students with the resilience needed for dynamic career paths. Practical implications include integrating IPE into career counseling to address structural mismatches, promoting technical skill development, and reinforcing civic responsibility. Recommendations focus on leveraging talent policies, aligning curricula with industry demands, and empowering graduates to make meaningful contributions to society.
