For thousands of years, a rich and splendid Tibetan music culture has been created in this magical land of Tibet. Tibetan traditional music includes folk music, religious music and court music. Among these three parts, folk music is the most abundant, and religious music has been widely and deeply spread in Tibet, relying on Tibetan Buddhism. Compared with folk music and religious music, the court music “Gar music and dance” has a limited spread range because of its specific service target, but its multicultural characteristics make its artistic form unique. All the photos selected in this paper are from “A Hundred Years of Illustration-A Library of Modern Chinese Literature (1883-1949)”. Through a large number of detailed and vivid images of Tibetan original ecological music provided by this database, the author forms the visual expression of Tibetan traditional music cultural form with pictures as the media.
