고급 학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 위한 다큐멘터리 활용 토론 수업 모형 개발

Development of a Discussion Instructional Model Using Documentaries for Advanced Academic Purpose Learners

본 연구는 고급 학문 목적 학습자 대상 한국어 토론 수업에서 다큐멘터리를 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 수업 모형을 개발하는 데 목적을 둔다. 다큐멘터리는 복합적이고 다각적인 관점으로 사고하고 논의해야 하는 학문 목적 학습자들에게 매우 좋은 콘텐츠이며 특히 한국어로 자신의 의견을 종합적으로 표현해야 하는 토론 수업에서 좋은 교보재로 사용될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 중점적으로 다루지 못한 다큐멘터리의 장르적 특성을 구체적으로 살펴 한국어 토론 수업 모형을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 한국어교육 분야에서 다큐멘터리 활용 수업과 토론수업에 관한 기존 연구를 살폈다. 그리고 ‘사실의 재현성’, ‘내러티브’ 등과 같은 다큐멘터리의 장르적 특성을 키워드 중심으로 살펴보았다. 또한 다큐멘터리의 분류 및 빌니콜스의 다큐멘터리 양식 분류를 살펴 한국어 토론 수업과의 연계 방안을 도출하였다. 수업 모형은 수업 목표, 학습자, 수업 환경 변인을 먼저 검토하고 이에 따라 적절히 선택할 수 있도록 모듈형으로 제시하였다. 의사소통 중심 모듈, 지식 중심 모듈, 수행 중심 모듈은 각 상황에 맞게 다큐멘터리 활용 토론 수업에서 효율적으로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to develop a instructional model that can effectively utilize documentaries in Korean language discussion classes for advanced academic learners. Documentaries are excellent content for academic learners who need to think and discuss from complex and multifaceted perspectives, and can be used as a good educational materials in discussion classes where they need to comprehensively express their opinions in Korean. Therefore, this study specifically examined the genre characteristics of documentaries that were not focused on in previous studies and attempted to develop a Korean language discussion instructional model. To this end, the study first examined existing studies on documentary utilization classes and discussion classes. Then, the genre characteristics of documentaries were examined based on keywords. In addition, the classification of documentaries and Bill Nichols’ modes of documentary were examined. The instructional model was presented in a modular form so that it could be selected appropriately after first examining the class objectives, learners, and class environment variables.
