The impact of U.S. economic sanctions on Russia on the global aluminum market and response strategies

러시아-우크라이나 전쟁 발생 이후 미국의 러시아에 대한 경제제재는 글로벌 알루미늄 시장의 불안정을 초래했다. 기업 운영의 관점에서 전쟁 시작 이후 국제 알루미늄 시장 변화에 대한 데이터를 바탕으로 기업이 직면한 관련 위험을 분석하고 대응 방안을 제시했다. 경제제재 내용과 관련 기업의 변화를 분석하여 기업이 직면할 수 있는 위험을 4가지 부분으로 나누었다, 재활용 기술 개발, 시장 중심 이동, 국제 협력 강화, 공공 관계 전략, 위험 관리 시스템 구축 등을 제안하였다. 이러한 방법을 통해 본 연구는 앞으로 기업들이 경제제재로 인한 리스크를 파악하거나 예방하는 데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war, the United States' economic sanctions against Russia have caused instability in the global aluminum market. From a business operations perspective, this study analyzes the risks faced by companies based on data reflecting changes in the international aluminum market since the onset of the war and proposes countermeasures. By analyzing the contents of the economic sanctions and the changes in related companies, the risks that businesses may face were categorized into four areas. The study suggests developing recycling technologies, shifting market focus, strengthening international cooperation, enhancing public relations strategies, and establishing risk management systems. Through these methods, this research aims to assist companies in identifying or preventing risks arising from economic sanctions in the future.
