메타버스 활용 마을교육 모형 개발 연구

Development of a Metaverse-enhanced Local Community Education Model

본 연구는 학교교육의 맥락에서 메타버스를 블렌디드 학습환경으로 활용하는 마을교육을 설계 및 실행하기 위한 모형을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 실시되었다. 본 연구는 설계·개발 연구방법을 적용하였으며 선행문헌 고찰을 통하여 ‘메타버스 활용 마을교육(Metaverse enhanced Local Community Education, 이후 M+LCE)’의 초안을 개발한 후 모형의 타당화 검토를 위해 3차에 걸친 전문가 타당화 검토와 사용성 평가를 진행하였다. 연구결과, 본 연구에 의해 개발된 M+LCE 모형이 내적 타당성을 지니고 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며 전문가 및 사용성 평가 참여 교사의 개선 의견을 반영하여 M+LCE 개념모형 및 절차모형이 최종적으로 개발되었다. M+LCE 개념모형은 ‘마을탐구활동 7단계’, ‘학습환경’, ‘설계원리’로 구성되었으며 M+LCE 절차모형은 ‘분석’, ‘설계·개발’, ‘실행·평가’의 과정에 따라 11개의 세부 단계로 개발되었다. 본 연구에 의해 개발된 M+LCE 모형은 마을교육에 관한 체계적인 교수·학습 방법 및 전략을 제시하고 있으며 학교교육에서 메타버스를 블렌디드 학습환경으로 활용하는 것에 대한 유용한 관점을 제시하고 있다는 교육적 의의를 지닌다.

The purpose of this study is to develop a model for designing and implementing local community education using the metaverse as a blended learning environment in the context of school education. This study applied design and development research methods and was conducted with the following procedures. First, the components and design principles of the ‘metaverse enhanced local community education (M+LCE)’ model were derived through literature review. To validate the M+LCE model, expert validation reviews and usability evaluations were conducted. The research results confirmed that the M+LCE model developed in this study has internal validity, and the M+LCE conceptual and procedural model were finally developed by reflecting the improvement opinions of experts and teachers who participated in the usability evaluation. The M+LCE conceptual model consists of ’seven stages of local community exploration activities’, ‘learning environment’, and ‘design principles’, and the M+LCE procedural model was developed into 11 detailed stages according to the processes of ‘analysis’, ‘design/development’, and ‘implementation/evaluation’. The M+LCE model developed in this study is educationally significant as it not only presents systematic teaching and learning methods and strategies for local community education but also provides a useful perspective on utilizing the metaverse as a blended learning environment in school education.
