통합교육 지원 및 통합교육 지원교사 제도에 대한 특수교사의 경험과 인식

Special Education Teachers’ Experiences and Perceptions of Supporting Inclusive Education and the Inclusive Education Support Teacher System

연구목적 본 연구는 통합교육 지원 및 통합교육 지원교사 제도에 대한 특수교사의 경험과 인식을 탐색하고, 통합교육 환경 개선을 위한 시사점 도출을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법 이를 위해 특수교사 10명에 대한 개별 면담을 실시하였으며, 지속적 비교분석법을 활용하여 면담 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과 분석 결과, 2개의 범주, 5개의 주제 및 16개의 소주제로 분류되었다. 2개의 범주는 ‘통합교육 지원 경험과 인식’ 및 ‘통합교육 지원을 위한 요구’로 구분되었다. 이에 따른 5개의 주제는 ‘통합교육을 지원하는 특수교사의 역할’, ‘통합교육 지원 과정에서의 어려움’, ‘통합교육 지원의 성과’, ‘통합교육 지원교사 제도의 정비’, ‘통합교육 환경의 질적 변화’로 분류되었다. 논의 및 제언 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 시사점을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 통합교육 지원 과정의 어려움을해소하기 위한 통합교육지원실 설치, 협력교수 활성화, 교사 업무 경감 등을 위한 정책 검토 및 실행이 필요하다. 둘째, 통합교육 지원교사의 지원 대상, 특수교사와의 역할 차이, 운영 및 배치 기준 등과 관련된 논의를 촉진하고 이에 근거한 제도가 마련되어야 한다

Purpose This study examined special education teachers’ experiences and perceptions regarding inclusive education support and the inclusive education support teacher system, aiming to suggest improvements for inclusive education. Method Individual interviews were conducted with 10 special education teachers, and the data were analyzed using the constant comparative method. Results The analysis identified two main categories, five themes, and 16 sub-themes. The two main categories were identified as ‘experiences and perceptions of supporting inclusive education’ and ‘needs for supporting inclusive education.’ The five themes derived from these categories included ‘roles of special education teachers in supporting inclusive education,’ ‘challenges in the process of supporting inclusive education,’ ‘outcomes of supporting inclusive education,’ ‘improvement of the inclusive education support teacher system,’ and ‘qualitative changes in the inclusive education environment.’ Conclusion Based on these findings, the study suggested the following. First, policy development and further discussions are needed to address the challenges in supporting inclusive education. Second, discussions and revisions to the inclusive education support teacher system should be promoted.
