노벨엔지니어링을 활용한 사회과 AI 융합교육 사례연구

A Case Study on the Convergence Education of Social Studies Using Artificial Intelligence Contents based on Nobel Engineering

연구목적 본 연구는 중학생을 대상으로 한 사회과 AI 융합교육 필요성을 논의하고, 노벨엔지니어링을 활용한 사회과 AI 융합교육 사례를 제시하였다. 연구방법 이를 위하여 중학교 사회교과 내용인 ‘문화’ 영역의 ‘대중매체’ 내용요소를 선정하여 미디어리터러시를 주제로 노벨엔지니어링 수업을 계획하였다. 뉴미디어 등장으로 인한 혼란상과 그에 대한 해결책을 제시한 책 [유튜브에 빠진 너에게: 인스타그램부터 가짜뉴스까지, Z세대를 위한 미디어 수업]을 읽고 SNS상의 잘못된 정보를 판별해 주는 ‘SNS 필터 페이지’를 엔트리 블록코딩을 활용해 제작하는 교수학습 활동을 하였다. 연구결과 활동을 통해 학생들은 디지털 기술의 발달과 AI 등장으로 인한 매체사용의 변화를 AI와 인간의 상호작용 관점에서 성찰하고, 그로인한 문제를 코딩을 활용하여 AI 프로그램을 설계해 봄으로서 해결하였다. 학생들은 협력하여 문제를 해결하는 경험을 통해 의사소통능력, 협동능력, 공동체에 기여하는 능력 등을 기를 수 있었다. 결론 본 연구는 미래교육에 대한 논의가 심화되면서 일반교과에도 AI를 활용한 교육의 필요성이 제기되는 현 시점에서 사회교과와 AI교육의 융합을 시도한 사례로 의의가 있다.

Purpose: This study explores the necessity of AI-integrated education in social studies for middle school students and presents a practical case of implementing such education through the use of Nobel Engineering. Methods: Nobel Engineering classes were planned under the theme of media literacy by selecting the content elements of the 'popular media' in the 'culture' area, which is the content of middle school social studies. After reading the book “To You Who Fell Into YouTube: Media Class for Generation Z,” which suggested confusion and solutions to the emergence of new media, they conducted a teaching and learning activity using entry block coding to produce an “SNS filter page” that determines incorrect information on SNS. Results: Through the activities, students reflected on the development of digital technology and the change in media use due to the emergence of AI in terms of AI and human interaction. And the resulting problem was solved by designing an AI program using coding. Students were able to develop communication skills, cooperation skills, and the ability to contribute to the community through the experience of solving problems in cooperation. Conclusion: This study is meaningful as an example of an attempt to combine social studies and AI education at a time when the need for education using AI is raised in general subjects as discussions on future education deepen.
