대한민국 국군의 미래를 예측 할 수 있는가? 하지만 확실한 것은 한국군은 AI, 무인, 로봇 등 4차 산업혁명 과학기술을 기반으로 북한 핵과 미사일에 적극적으로 대응하고 나아가 핵심 첨단전력을 발전시키고 있다. 4차 산업혁명이 촉발한 지능화와 네트워크화의 흐름은 우리 미래 안보환경과 전투개념을 변화시키고 있다. 국방부는 국방혁신 4.0추진에 있어 제2 창군 수준으로 국방태세 전반을 재설계하여, AI기반의 유무인 복합 전투체계(MUM-T)를 발전시키고 있다. 이에 본고는 한국군에 최적화된 MUM-T(이후 K-MUM-T)에 관한 국내외 정책방향 및 동향에 대해서 알아보고 국내 핵심기술을 기반으로 한 발전방안에 대해 논하고자 한다.

Can you predict the future of the ROK Armed Forces? However, it is certain that the ROK military is focusing on developing core high-tech forces to dramatically strengthen its deterrence capability to actively respond to North Korean nuclear and missile threats and its ability to carry out operations on the battlefield in the future based on the 4th Industrial Revolution technology such as AI, unmanned, and robots. In particular, the flow of intelligence and networking triggered by the Fourth Industrial Revolution is changing our future security environment and the concept of battle. In promoting defense innovation 4.0, the Ministry of National Defense is developing a complex combat system (MUM-T) based on the presence or absence of AI by redesigning the entire defense posture at the level of the second founding army. Therefore, this paper intends to find out the domestic and foreign policy directions and trends on MUM-T (hereafter K-MUM-T) optimized for the Korean military, and discuss development plans based on core domestic technologies.
