육군항공 MUM-T의 개발 동향과 발전방안 연구 : 미 육군항공 MUM-T의 동향과 비교하여

Research on Development Trends and Plans for Army Aviation MUM-T : Compared to the Trends of the U.S Army Aviation MUM-T

본 연구는 우리 육군항공의 MUM-T가 처한 제한 사항과 발전 방향에 관한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 미군의 과거 무인기 운용 사례를 간략하게 검토하고, 현재 미 육군항공에서 운용 중인 MUM-T의 동향, 그리고 최신형 무인 항공기의 정보와 시험 운용 사례를 살펴봄으로써 우리 군이 직면할 수 있는 제한 사항과 그 해소 방향에 대해서 논의하였다. 이와 같은 무인기와 MUM-T에 대한 선진국의 운용 노하우와 기술 수준을 단시간에 따라잡기는 어려울 것이므로, 군은 작전 환경과 기술 수준을 고려하여, 통신 환경과 무장 확장의 가능성, 그리고 보안을 확보하여 단계적인 발전이 가능하도록 끊임없는 연구를 수행해야 할 것이다.

This study discusses the limitations and development directions of MUM-T in our Army Aviation. In this study, we briefly review past cases of UAV operations by the U.S. Army, examine the current trends in MUM-T operations by the U.S. Army Aviation, and explore information on the latest unmanned aerial vehicles and their test operation cases. Through this, we discuss the limitations our military may face and how to overcome them. It will be challenging to quickly catch up with the advanced countries' operational know-how and technological level regarding UAVs and MUM-T. Therefore, the military should continuously conduct research to ensure staged development by considering the operational environment and technological level, the possibility of communication environment and armament expansion, and ensuring security.
