소부대 유·무인 복합전투체계에 대한 전자기전, 사이버전, 사이버전자기전의 위협과 대응방안

Threats and Countermeasures of Electromagnetic Warfare, Cyber Warfare, and Cyber-electromagnetic Warfare against Manned and Unmanned Complex Combat Systems for Small Units

2023년 2월 28일 대한민국 국방부가 발표한 국방혁신 4.0은 첨단무기체계의 중요성을 강조하며, 유·무인 복합전투체계의 개발과 도입을 명시했다. 그런데 Army TIGER 4.0을 기반으로 하게 될 대한민국 육군의 소부대 유·무인 복합전투체계는 전자기, 사이버, 사이버전자기 공격에 취약하다. 본 연구는 개발 단계에서 언급되지 않았던 소부대 유·무인 복합전투체계가 사이버 전자기전에 취약할 수밖에 없는 이유를 전자기전, 사이버전, 사이버전자기전으로 구분하여 사례를 통해 분석했다. 본 연구의 의의는 앞선 사례 기반 취약성 분석을 기초로 하여 향후 소부대 유·무인 복합전투체계의 개발과 도입, 그리고 운용 시 필요한 대응방안을 제시함에 있다.

Defense Innovation 4.0, announced by the ROK Ministry of National Defense on Feb. 28, 2023, emphasized the importance of advanced weapon systems and specified the development and introduction of manned and unmanned complex combat systems. However, the ROK Army's small unit manned and unmanned complex combat system, which will be based on Army TIGER 4.0, is vulnerable to cyber, electromagnetic cyber-electromagnetic warfare attacks. This study analyzed the reasons why small unit manned and unmanned complex combat systems, which were not mentioned in the development stage, are inevitably vulnerable to cyber-electromagnetic warfare by dividing them into electromagnetic warfare, cyber warfare, and cyber-electromagnetic warfare through case studies. The significance of this study is to present possible countermeasures for the development, introduction, and operation of a small unit manned and unmanned complex combat system in the future based on the previous case-based vulnerability analysis.
