아동이 지각한 부모의 성취압력과 우울의 관계에서 자율성의 매개효과

The Mediating Effect of Autonomy in the Relationship Between Children's Perceived Parental Achievement Pressure and Depression

목적 본 연구는 아동이 지각한 부모의 성취압력이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 자율성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 한국아동패널 14차(2021년) 조사 데이터를 활용하여 2008년생 1328명의 자료를 분석하였다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS 23.0을 활용하여 신뢰도분석, 기술통계, 상관관계분석을 실시하고, 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 위계적 회귀분석과 통계적 유의성을 검증하기 위해 Sobel Test를 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 아동이 지각한 부모의 성취압력이 아동의 우울에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동이 지각한 부모의 성취압력이 자율성에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아동의 자율성은 우울에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 부모의 성취압력과 아동의 우울의 관계에서 자율성이 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구의 결과를 통해 아동의 우울에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인을 명백히 밝혀냄으로써 우울을 경험하고 있는 아동을 위해 부모의 성취압력과 자율성에 관련된 교육 및 상담프로그램 개발·실시가 필요함을 알 수 있다.

Objectives This study aimed to verify the mediating effect of autonomy in the effect of parental achievement pressure perceived by children on depression. Methods To this end, data from the 14th Korean Children's Panel Survey (2021) was used to analyze data from 1,328 people born in 2008. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 to perform reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis was performed to verify the mediating effect and Sobel Test was performed to verify statistical significance. Results First, parental achievement pressure perceived by children was found to have a significant positive effect on children's depression. Second, parental achievement pressure perceived by children was found to have a negative effect on autonomy. Third, children's autonomy was found to have a negative effect on depression. Fourth, autonomy was found to mediate the relationship between parental achievement pressure and children's depression. Conclusions The results of this study clearly reveal the major variables that affect children's depression, and thus it is necessary to develop and implement education and counseling programs related to parental achievement pressure and autonomy for children experiencing depression.
