Stylistic features of the types of grammatical verbs in the novel “Men in the Sun” by Ghassan Kanafani as a model

This research aims to study the Arabic verb in its different types based on the grammatical meaning rather than the morphological meaning. This study relied on the novel Men in the Sun, and it became clear that Ghassan Kanafani used the verb in its various types, including simple past, renewed past, approximate past, and projected past, etc. He also used the present and future verbs. It is worth noting that the writer Ghassan Kanafani invented new types such as. (مضى يفعل/ وبقي يفعل/ وعلى وشك يفعل) From a stylistic perspective, it became clear that the verb in its grammatical tenses had many stylistic features. The past tense was distinguished by its role in narrating and recalling events and played the role of a supporting factor in the dialogue. As for the present tense, it was relied upon in the dialogue between the characters, and the future tense expressed the dreams of the three men and their goal in traveling to Kuwait.
