창조신학의 원리와 생태적 삶에 관한 고찰

Reflections on Principles of Creation Theology and an Ecological Life

현재 우리 시대의 아픔을 드러내는 여러 징표 중에 가장 시급한 것은 생태계 위기이다. 이는 지구라는 공동의 집에 존재하는 모든 생명체 간의 균형파괴요 관계의 부서짐을 의미한다. 우리에게 당면한 생태 위기를 극복하기위해 생태신학 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 생태론이라는 말은 현대 들어 활용되는 용어이지만, 생태신학적인 요소들은 이미 그리스도교 창조신학안에서 발견된다. 이에 본 연구는 생태신학적 사고를 포괄하는 창조신학의기초 원리와 교도권의 가르침 안에서 발견되는 창조신학의 원리에 접근하여생태 위기 극복을 위해 그리스도인들이 살아야 할 핵심적인 자세를 제시해보고자 한다. 생태신학을 위한 창조신학적 기초 원리에서는 하느님에 의한창조와 모든 피조물의 피조성, 세상 안에 현존하시는 하느님에 관한 안식일신학과 그리스도론적이고 성령론적인 전망, 그리고 세상 창조와 구원 역사, 종말의 완성을 아우르는 관점 등을 논거로 제시할 수 있다. 교황 프란치스코의 가르침 안에서 드러나는 통합 생태론을 위한 창조신학적 원리도 이와 유사함이 발견된다. 생태론적 창조신학을 바탕으로 하느님에 의한 창조와 구원 그리고 완성 안에서 실현되는 관계성과 친교를 위한 통합 생태론을 정초할 수 있으며, 이것의 실현은 그리스도인들에게 생태적 회심을 요청한다. 생태적인 삶을 위한 생태적 회개는 그리스도인 스스로가 고난 겪는 피조물의가해자요 죄인임을 고백하는 모습에서, 모든 것이 하느님의 것임을 고백하는 신앙을 통해, 하느님이 그러하시듯 고통당하는 피조물에 통감하는 모습을 통해 실현될 수 있다.

The most urgent sign of the many that indicate our pain in the present age is the ecological crisis. It signifies the destruction of the balance and relationship between all creatures in our common home, the Earth. Ecological theology is actively being studied to address the ecological crisis we are confronting. The term ‘Ecology’ began to be used in this age, but elements of ecological theology are already found in Christian creation theology. Therefore, this study aims to present the essential attitudes that Christians should adopt in their lives in order to overcome the ecological crisis by approaching the basic principles of creation theology, which encompass the thoughts of ecological theology and are reflected in the teachings of the Magisterium. In the basic principles of creation theology pertaining to ecological theology, the arguments below are presented: the creation by God, the created nature of creatures, the sabbatical theology regarding God who is present in the world, the perspectives of Christological and Pneumatological thought, and a viewpoint that combines the creation of the world, the history of salvation, and the fulfillment of the end. The basic principle of creation theology for integral ecology found in the teachings of the Pope Francis reveals similarities. Based on Ecological creation theology, integral ecology for relationality and communion, realized within creation, salvation, and fulfillment by God, can be established. The realization of this requires ecological conversion among Christians. Ecological conversion for an ecological life can be achieved through Christians’ acknowledgment that they are both perpetrators and sinners against suffering creation, through a faith that confesses that everything belongs to God, and through empathizing with suffering creatures just as God does.
