This study explored the effects of underwater exercise in female college students in Taekwondo. Pumsae is an event that requires a high sense of balance and stability, and water training using buoyancy and resistance of water was applied to compensate for the limitations of repeated ground training. As a result of the study, underwater training was effective in improving the stability of players through body balance ability and core muscle strengthening. In addition, it contributed to preventing injuries by reducing the joint burden and relieving fatigue and pain caused by repeated training. These results show the possibility that underwater exercise can be effectively integrated into the Pumsae training program.
