The Effect of Stretching Exercise on Health-Related Physical Fitness and Self-Efficacy in the Physically Disabled

The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of the 12-week stretching exercise on the health-related physical fitness and self-efficacy with physically disabled. For this purpose, 21 physically disabled people aged 50 to 65 years or older who participated in this study were divided into an exercise group (n=10) and a control group (n=11). The exercise group performed stretching exercises for 60 minutes, 3 times a week for 12 weeks. As a result, there was a significant increase in health-related physical fitness in the exercise group, and there was no significant difference in the control group. And there was some significant increase in self-efficacy in the exercise group and control group. Thus, it was found that 12 weeks of stretching exercises were very effective for people with physical disabilities.
