Purpose : The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of studies on eating disorders among female college students published in domestic academic journals or presented as theses from 2014 to 2024, and to analyze their topics in order to provide foundational data for establishing strategies for eating disorder prevention education programs. Method : This study was conducted following the five-stage scoping review framework proposed by Arksey and O’Malley, targeting academic journal articles and theses published in Korea between 2014 and 2024. Results : The findings indicate that eating disorders among female college students are influenced by a combination of personal, familial, and environmental factors. Key variables include body shame, body dissatisfaction, perfectionism, negative emotions, parental influence, and social media activity. Additionally, psychological traits such as maladaptive perfectionism were found to increase the risk of eating disorders, while self-compassion and self-regulation were identified as protective factors. Conclusion : The results of this study highlight the necessity of a multidimensional approach to the prevention and treatment of eating disorders among female college students. Interventions should consider the complex interactions between psychological, familial, and environmental factors.
