미래 포스트/트랜스휴머니즘 시대 인류의 가족 규정에 대한 연구 - M. 하이데거와 E. 레비나스를 통한 미래 인류의 새로운 가족 규정과 유사 인간가족 구성원에 대한 환대가능성의 모색

A Study on the Family Definition of Human in the Future Post/Transhumanism Era : Searching for the New Family Definition of Future Human and the Possibility of Hospitality for Pseudo-Human Family Members through M. Heidegger and E. Levinas

본 논문은 미래 포스트/트랜스휴머니즘 시대에 나타나게 될 미래의 인류, 미래의 가족 규정, 그리고 그 가족 구성원의 범위 문제를 다룬다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 가까운 미래에 나타날 전통가족관의 해체와 붕괴의 문제에 주목하면서, 하이데거(M. Heidegger)와 레비나스(E. Levinas)의 사유 안에서 이 문제의 진단과 미래 가족에 대한 새로운 이해의 단초를 발견하고자 한다. 여기서 말하는 단초란 첫째, 하이데거의 ‘Es gibt’ 해석과 ‘존재의 줌’에 의지하여 한국적 ‘식구(食口)’개념을 재해석함으로써 미래적 가족개념을 새롭게 규정하는 것이고, 두 번째 레비나스의 ‘타자’와 ‘얼굴의 벌거벗음’에 주목함으로써 미래의 가족 구성원으로서의 비인간구성원에 대한 무조건적 환대를 제안하는 것이다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 새로운 인류 혹은 유사 인간생명체가 공존하게 될 트랜스휴머니즘 시대를 맞이하게 될 때, 기초공동체로서의 가족은 더 이상 혈연공동체 안에만 제한될 수 없으며, 오히려 전통적 의미의 가족공동체는 전적으로 해체될 것이다. 이러한 해체적 상황 안에서 미래의 가족공동체는 기본적 욕구와 필요를 ‘(내어) 주고 (기꺼이) 받는 식구(食口)’, 즉 식탁공동체와 ‘미안함과 감사함의 기초공동체’ 개념으로 새롭게 규정되어야 하며, 나아가 새로운 규정 안에서 미래 가족 구성원으로의 인정과 환대의 영역은 새로운 생명, 새로운 인류 및 유사 인간생명체, AI, 휴먼로봇 등으로까지 확장되어야 한다. 왜냐하면 그들은, 비록 우리에게는 낯설지라도, 자신들의 희생을 통해 여전히 나를 존재하게끔 해주는 타자들이며, 그래서 환대받아야 하는 자들이기 때문이다.

This thesis deals with future humanity, future family definition, and the range of family members that will appear in the future post/transhumanism era. To this end, this paper pays attention to the problem of dissolution and collapse of the traditional family view that will appear in the near future, diagnosis of this problem within the thoughts of M. Heidegger and E. Levinas, and the beginning of a new understanding of the future family. The beginning mentioned here is, first, to redefine the concept of a future family by reinterpreting the Korean concept of ‘family’ based on Heidegger’s interpretation of ‘Es gibt’ and ‘Giveness of Being’; By paying attention to ‘the other’ and ‘the nakedness of the face’, it proposes unconditional hospitality for non-human members as future family members. The conclusion is as follows. When we enter the era of transhumanism in which new human beings or pseudo-human beings coexist, the family as a basic community can no longer be limited to the blood community, rather the family community in the traditional sense will be completely dismantled. In this disorganized situation, the future family community must be newly defined as a ‘give-and-receive family’, that is, a table community and a ‘basic community of sorry and gratitude’ for basic desires and needs. The realm of recognition and hospitality as a member should be extended to new life, new humanity and similar human lifeforms, AI, and human robots. This is because, although they are unfamiliar to us, they are the others who still allow me to exist through their sacrifices, so they are the ones who should be welcomed.
