The coffee house in Korea has experienced remarkable growth over the past decade and became a highly competitive market posing a serious threat to the survival of coffee house. Along with this, there has been extensive research on the selection attributes of coffee house, which form the foundation for developing marketing strategies. The purpose of this paper is to analyze research trends in the field of coffee house selection attributes perceived by the consumers. We conducted a study to answer the following research questions. What are the research trends related to selection attributes of coffee shops registered in KCI and what are the future research directions related to selection attributes of coffee house. For this purpose, KCI registered papers were analyzed by the a systematic literature review. For the analysis, we selected 47 published papers published in the last 18years from KCI. The results ar as follows. First, research trends in coffee house selection attributes have shown continuous quantitative growth, and the research objectives and methods have been diversified and expanded. Second, the research on the selection attributes of coffee specialty shops, based on various analysis methods, has predominantly been conducted through regression analysis and structural equation modeling to study the causal relationships among these attributes. Additionally, a variety of approaches, including difference comparisons, group distinctions, and other studies, have also been employed. Third, The main factors related to selection attributes include customer satisfaction, purchase intention, and repurchase intention, as well as lifestyle, IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis), involvement, and brand. Finally, The attributes such as brand, menu diversity, facilities, taste, price, reliability, tangibility, comfort, friendliness, credibility, and coffee quality attributes have been the subject of ongoing research year by year. Based on these results, academic and piratical implications and future research directions were suggested.
