The core of recent tourism is sustainable tourism and revitalization of local tourism. The problem of local extinction due to population decline is a problem that most local areas have, so measures to revitalize local tourism are more urgent. This study analyzed the policy and case of DMO tourism in Nagasaki, Japan for sustainable tourism. Based on a review of previous studies, it was confirmed that Nagasaki City's DMO policy is largely structured as a three-system system of local residents, tourism business operators, and tourists, and that there is no discussion on the concept of DMO tourism and the distinction of the role of DMO. The results of this study are expected to be used as effective data for the local tourism revitalization policy in Korea.
