나딩스 교육사상의 변천에 관한 연구

이 논문은 전체적인 나딩스의 교육사상을 개괄하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 통해 나딩스를 ‘배려의 학자’로만 알고 있거나 전혀 접해보지 못한 이들에게 나딩스의 교육사상을 종합적으로 안내하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 국내에 자세히 알려지지 않은 나딩스의 생애를 먼저 살펴보고, 배려사상, 행복교육론을 탐구해 보았다. 그리고 아직까지 연구되지 않은 나딩스의 시민교육론을 독립된 교육사상으로 분류하고 탐색하였다.

This paper aims to provide an overview of Noddings’ educational thought as a whole. Through this, it aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to Noddings’ educational thought to those who only know him as a ‘scholar of care’ or have never encountered him before. To this end, the researcher first overview into Noddings’ life, which is not well known in Korea, and explored his care thought and happiness education theories. In addition, Noddings’ citizenship education theory, which has not yet been studied in Korea, was classified and explored as an independent educational thought. The study results of this paper can be summarized as follows. First, Noddings' unique life history had a great influence on her educational philosophy. Second, Noddings imprinted her existence as a scholar in the academic world through care thought. Third, Noddings says that academic discourse is necessary for the purpose of education. She states that the purpose of education is happiness. Fourth, Noddings argues that new citizenship education should be conducted with topics that fit the changing times.
