Studies in comparative analysis on algorithm of Exodus and Simulex for the evacuation simulation program development

Recently, due to numerical increase of large and complex high-rise buildings the inherent safety of the evacuation in building has become very important in case of fire. Through evacuation simulation, occupants' evacuation safety is ensured by evaluation and analyse are used in abroad, and the majorities are using overseas programs due to there is no developed program is used in domestic situation but variety of programs for evacuation simulation are in the process of analyzing and developing. In this study, the program's configuration and the sub-algorithm has analysed in-depth based on the context of evacuation safety evaluation program development in the domestic situation and focus on unique characteristics of Koreans by using most leading research program SIMULEX and EXODUS as an evacuation model.
