The main applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in commercial arbitration include arbitration procedure information consultation, identity recognition of arbitration participants, case fact collation, evidence collation and listing, case analysis, similar case ruling inquiry, and decision-making assistance. There may be risks of commercial arbitration procedural bias and commercial arbitration result bias in the process of AI application in Chinese commercial arbitration. Those risks are caused by technology itself and human manipulation. The “dual-dimensional regulation” that combines technical review and judicial review can be used as a regulation strategy to prevent risks, thereby promoting the application of artificial intelligence in Chinese commercial arbitration to achieve both fairness and efficiency. With the support of artificial intelligence technology, the Chinese commercial arbitration process is developing towards intelligentization.
