간호대학생의 안전의식, 표준주의지침 지식 및 태도가 환자안전관리 수행자신감에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Safety Consciousness, Knowledge and Attitude of Standard Precaution on Self-Confidence in Performing Patient Safety Management in Nursing Students

목적 본 연구는 임상실습을 경험하지 않은 간호학과 2학년 학생의 안전의식, 표준주의지침 지식 및 태도가 환자안전관리 수행자신감에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 방법 C시에 소재한 2개 대학의 간호학과 2학년, 156명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS 20.0 프로그램의 independent t-test, pearson correlation, coefficient, hierarchical regression을 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과 연구결과 간호대학생의 안전관리 수행자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 안전의식(ß=.37, p<.001), 표준주의지침 태도(ß=.19, p=.008), 전공만족도(ß=.18, p=.010)이었고, 가장 영향력이 큰 변수는 안전의식이었으며 이들 변수의 총 설명력은 28.6%이었다. 결론 본 연구에서 간호대학생의 안전관리 수행자신감은 특히 안전의식이 높을수록 안전관리 수행자신감이 높아지는 것으로 확인되었다. 안전의식은 일상생활에서 나타날 수 있는 위험으로부터 안전을 유지하고 예방하는 데 중요한 안전에 대한 인지도를 의미한다. 따라서 다양한 안전사고로부터 건강하고 안전한 환경을 조성하기 위해 간호대학생의 안전의식을 강화하는 교육이 필요하며, 본 연구의 결과를 환자안전관리 역량 향상을 위한 교육과정과 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용할 것을 제안한다.

Objectives This study confirmed the effect of safety consciousness, knowledge of standard precaution, and attitudes of second grade nursing students who have not experienced clinical practice on self-confidence in performing patient safety management. Methods Data were collected through a structured questionnaire targeting 156, second graders of nursing departments at two universities located in C city. The analysis of the collected data was analyzed using the independent t-test, Pearson correlation, coefficient, and hierarchical regression of the SPSS 20.0 program. Results As a result of the study, the factors affecting nursing students' self-confidence in performing patient safety management were safety consciousness (ß=.37, p<.001), attitude of standard precaution (ß=.19, p=.008), and major satisfaction (ß=.18, p=.010). The most influential variables were safety consciousness, and the total explanatory power of these variables was 28.6%. Conclusions In this study, it was confirmed that the higher the safety consciousness, the higher the self-confidence in performing patient safety management of nursing students. Safety consciousness refers to awareness of safety, which is important in maintaining and preventing safety from risks that may appear in daily life. Therefore, education that strengthens the safety consciousness of nursing students is necessary to create a healthy and safe environment from various safety accidents, and it is suggested to use the results of this study as basic data for the development of curriculum and educational programs to improve patient safety management capabilities.
