간호대학생의 성소수자에 대한 사회적 거리감 영향요인

Factors Affecting the Social Distance toward Sexual Minorities of nursing students

목적 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 인권의식, 성소수자에 대한 지식이 성소수자에 대한 사회적 거리감에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 방법 본 연구의 대상자는 C도에 소재한 대학의 간호학과에 재학 중인 간호대학생 145명이다. 자료수집은 2024년 5월 27일에서 6월 28일까지 실시되었다. 자료분석은 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술적 통계, 독립표본 t-검정, 일원분산분석, Pearson의 상관관계분석과 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 대상자의 인권의식은 성소수자에 대한 지식, 성소수자에 대한 사회적 거리감과 양의 상관관계를 보였으며, 성소수자에 대한 지식은 성소수자에 대한 사회적 거리감과 양의 상관관계로 확인되었다. 둘째, 인권의식과 성소수자에 대한 지식은 성소수자에 대한 사회적 거리감에 영향을 주는 요인으로 확인되었다. 성소수자에 대한 사회적 거리감에 대한 이들 변수의 총 설명력은 38%이었다. 결론 본 연구를 통해서 간호대학생의 성소수자에 대한 사회적 거리감을 감소시키기 위해서는 인권의식을 높이고 성소수자에 대한 지식을 높이기 위한 체계적인 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of human rights awareness and knowledge of sexual minorities on social distance from sexual minorities of nursing students. Methods The participants of this study are 145 nursing students enrolled in the Department of Nursing at a university located in Province C. Data were collected from May 27 to June 28, 2024. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS 23.0 program, using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one way-ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchecal multiple regression. Results First, the human rights awareness showed a positive correlation with their knowledge of sexual minorities and social distance from sexual minorities, and their knowledge of sexual minorities was confirmed to have a positive correlation with social distance from sexual minorities. Second, human rights awareness and knowledge of sexual minorities were confirmed to be factors affecting the subjects' social distance from sexual minorities in that order. The total explanatory power of these variables for social distance from sexual minorities was 38%. Conclusions This study shows that in order to reduce social distance from sexual minorities among nursing students, it is necessary to develop a systematic program to increase human rights awareness and knowledge about sexual minorities.
