Unlike new construction projects, the efficiency enhancement of existing apartment complexes is less preferred than reconstruction due to residents with various situations and needs, constraints on application technology and investment costs, and lack of clear estimation technology regarding improvement effects. In order to evaluate remodeling projects from the perspective that remodeling is a more sustainable efficiency improvement plan than reconstruction of apartment complexes in the future, it is urgent to collect and analyze energy consumption of apartment complexes, develop technology to estimate energy consumption of apartment complexes, and advance remodeling technology for major parts such as exterior walls, windows, and heating facilities. In this study, as part of the technology development for energy modeling of apartment complexes composed of various exclusive areas and main building shapes, the goal was to develop an automated program that generates standard apartment complex models with various exclusive areas by utilizing the 84-type and plate-type prototypical apartment complex energy model utilized by Seo (2024). The automation program was developed using Python to automatically find and change the x, y coordinates and the Width, Height area values of Polygons, exterior walls, roofs, floors, doors, and windows in the INP file corresponding to the building's geometric information. In order to verify the development program, it was applied to an actual apartment complex consisting of various-sized main buildings, and a groundbreaking time-saving effect was confirmed.
