한국의 국립군의관의과대학교 설립 필요성에 관한 연구

A study on the Necessity of Establishing South Korea's National Military Medical University

본 연구는 윤석열 정부가 서울과 지방의 의료 격차를 해소하고 필수 의료 인력을 육성하기 위하여 의료개혁을 하면서 이에 반대하는 일부 의사들이 파업을 한 뒤에 군의관이 환자를 돌보는 일을 한 것과 관련하여 향후 군의관을 확보하는 것이 중요하다고 판단하였다. 일본과 미국과 같은 선진국은 이미 국립군의관의과대학교를 1972년과 1973년에 각각 설립하여 운영하고 있다. 한국은 국립군의관의과대학교를 설립하는 것이 필요하다. 갈수록 장기 군의관의 수가 줄어들고 있고 단기 군의관이 실무경력이 부족한 상태에서 현장에 3년 의무복무를 하는 상황에서 한국이 국익을 높이기 위해서 어떤 전략적 변화를 해야 하는지에 대해서도 연구하였다. 한국에서 국립군의관의과대학교는 설립되어야 하며 국립군의관의과대학교의 부속병원도 만들어져야 한다. 국립군의관의과대학교 설립은 군인과 군인 가족의 생명 뿐만 아니라 국민들의 생명까지 지킬 수 있다. 또한 전략적으로 강한 군대를 육성하는데 기여하여 향후 국익을 확보할 수 있다.

This study determined that it is important to secure military doctors in the future in relation to the fact that military doctors took care of patients after the Yoon Seok-yeol government implemented medical reform to bridge the medical gap between Seoul and the provinces and foster essential medical personnel, and some doctors who opposed this went on strike. Developed countries such as Japan and the United States have already established and operated national military medical colleges in 1972 and 1973, respectively. South Korea needs to establish a national military medical school. In a situation where the number of long-term military doctors is decreasing and short-term military doctors are required to serve three years in the field while lacking practical experience, we also studied what strategic changes Korea should make to enhance national interests. In Korea, the National Military Medical University should be established and an affiliated hospital of the National Military Medical University should also be created. The establishment of a national military medical school can protect not only the lives of soldiers and their families, but also the lives of the public. In addition, it can contribute to developing a strategically strong military and secure national interests in the future.
