Comparing the vocabulary of the Khoton dialect with the list of M. Swodesh

Several scientific works by Mongolian and foreign scholars have studied the ethnic Turks in terms of their behavior, religion, genetics, genealogy, and history. However, in terms of language, G.N. Potanin has 87 words, B.Ya. Vladimirtsov has 123 words and S. Badamkhatan recorded 130 words and attached them to their research materials. Nowadays, B.Sankhuu is making a valuable contribution to compiling and publishing the heritage of the Khoton people. In his “Khudaya Sutra” 217 words and 44 expressions were written (also in “Khoton folklore”); and D. Solongo and R. Sarangerel recorded 215 words and some phrases in their works and presented them with Mongolian translation. In the book of the last two researchers, 984 words are used in the Khoton dialect from the Durvud oral dialects”, and we have selected more than 120 words from them because they are also used in Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uyghur, Khakas, and other Turkic languages, and included them in the list of common words of Turko-Mongolian languages. The vocabulary of the Khoton language currently has about 500 words, excluding the repeated words recorded by the researchers mentioned above.
