튀르키예의 식량안보 위협 요인과 대응전략 연구

An Analysis of Food Security Threats and Response Strategies in Türkiye

오늘날 식량 위기는 인간 개개인의 존엄과 생명을 위협하는 중요한 문제로 부상하고 있다. 인위적인 요인과 자연적인 요인 모두가 향후 식량 불안정을 악화시킬 것으로 예상된다. 이에 대응하기 위해 국제 사회 및 각 국가들은 식량 위기에 대한 취약성을 줄이고 식량 안보를 보장하기 위한 다양한 조치를 추진 중에 있다. 튀르키예 역시 자국의 식량 문제 해결에 적극적으로 대응하고 있다. 본 연구는 튀르키예의 식량 문제 현황과 식량 안보에 대한 위협요인을 살펴보고 이에 대한 튀르키예의 대응 전략들을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 튀르키예는 식량 안보 측면에서 다른 중동 국가들보다 상대적으로 나은 상황이지만, 여전히 식량 곡물 가격 변동, 수급 불균형, 물 부족 등에는 취약한 상태이다. 따라서 튀르키예는 식량 가격 관리와 물 관련 문제 해결을 중심으로 식량안보 강화를 도모하는 중이다. 튀르키예의 노력은 한국을 비롯한 다른 지역 국가들의 식량 정책 개발에 귀중한 통찰을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

Food crises have become a significant challenge, jeopardizing the dignity and lives of individuals. It is projected that both man-made and natural factors will exacerbate food insecurity in the future. In response, the international community and individual nations are taking various actions to reduce vulnerability to food crises and ensure food security. Türkiye has been proactive in addressing its own food challenges. This study examines the current status of food-related issues in Türkiye, the threats to food security it faces, and the strategies it has implemented to strengthen food security. While Türkiye is relatively better off than other Middle Eastern countries regarding food security, it remains susceptible to fluctuations in food grain prices, supply and demand imbalances, and water scarcity. The country’s focus has been on managing food prices and tackling water-related issues. Türkiye’s efforts may offer valuable insights for food policy development in other countries in the region, including South Korea.
