《查姆》杨柳译本翻译策略探析

An Analysis of the Translation Strategies in Chamu of Yang Liu’s Translation

彝族创世史诗《查姆》作为国家非物质文化遗产，不仅是彝族文化的重要组成部分，也是中华民族多元文化的重要体现。《查姆》作为彝族非遗史诗，记录了人类、万物的起源和发展历史，是彝族文化生根发芽的沃土。其英译本有助于将我国的彝族史诗推向世界，促进西方读者对彝族史诗的了解，促进传统文化的传播。文本中涉及大量中国文化负载词，因而本文主要分析杨柳译本采用何种翻译策略处理原文的文化因素以及这种翻译策略是如何体现的。

The Yi ethnic group’s creation epic Chamu, as a national intangible cultural heritage, is not only an important part of Yi culture but also a significant manifestation of the diverse cultures of the Chinese nation. As an epic of the Yi ethnic group’s intangible cultural heritage, Chamu records the origin and development history of human beings and all things and is the fertile ground for the germination of Yi culture. Its English translation helps to introduce the Yi ethnic group’s epic to the world, promotes Western readers’ understanding of the Yi ethnic group’s epic, and facilitates the dissemination of traditional culture. Since the text involves a large number of Chinese culture-loaded words, this paper mainly analyzes what translation strategies the Yang Liu translation uses to deal with the cultural factors in the original text and how these translation strategies are manifested.
