外语专业本科生毕业论文写作研究——以桂林理工大学为例

A Study on Graduation Thesis Writing among Foreign Languages Majors: A Case Study of Guilin University of Technology

本研究以桂林理工大学外语专业本科生为研究对象,综合运用问卷调查与访谈等方法,对其毕业论文写作现状展开系统调查与分析。研究发现,学生在毕业论文写作过程中面临多维困境,主要表现为导师指导频次与时长不足、文献收集与研读经验欠缺、写作方法与技巧掌握不充分、写作思路不清晰等问题。为解决上述问题,应设置专门的研讨课程,为毕业论文写作提供系统化指导,确保导师指导时间与质量。通过循序渐进的系统性学习,夯实学生的学术写作方法与技巧,全面提升其学术研究能力与批判性思维能力。本研究对优化外语专业本科生毕业论文写作指导机制、提升毕业论文质量具有重要的理论价值与实践意义,为高校外语专业毕业论文教学改革提供有益参考。

This study focuses on undergraduate students majoring in foreign languages at Guilin University of Technology, adopts a mixed-methods approach combining questionnaires and interviews to systematically investigate and analyze the current status of their BA degree paper writing. The findings reveal that students face multidimensional challenges during the thesis-writing process, primarily manifested in insufficient frequency and duration of supervisor guidance, lack of deficiencies in literature retrieval and critical evaluation, inadequate mastery of academic writing methods and techniques, and unclear research logic. To address these issues, the study proposes establishing specialized seminar courses to provide systematic guidance for thesis writing, while ensuring both the quantity and quality of supervisor engagement. Through a progressive and structured learning approach, students’ academic writing skills, research capabilities, and critical thinking competencies can be strengthened holistically. This research holds significant theoretical and practical value for optimizing the thesis guidance mechanisms for foreign language majors and improving thesis quality, offering actionable recommendations for reforming graduation thesis instruction in higher education.
