첨단산업 집적이 지역경제에 미치는 영향 분석 - 첨단제조업과 첨단서비스업 비교를 중심으로

An Empirical Analysis for the Agglomeration Effects of High-Tech Industry on Local Economy: The Comparison of High-Tech Manufacturing and High-Tech Services

본 연구에서는 첨단산업의 집적이 지역 경제에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 정책적 시사점을 도출함이 목적이다. 공간계량모형을 사용해 첨단산업의 특화도와 지역 경제의 상호관계를 분석하며, 1인당 GRDP와 1인당 주민세에 미 치는 영향을 검토한다. 분석 결과, 첨단제조업의 특화도는 지역 경제에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 첨단서비스업의 특화도는 유의하지 않았다. 첨단서비스업은 지식 축적에 따른 정보교환으로 생산성을 증가시키는 것이므로, 경쟁 도, 다양도를 모두 고려할 필요가 있음을 나타낸다. 본 연구 결과는 중앙정부 및 지자체 주도 첨단산업 분야 정책 방향 설정에 있어 지역 경제개발 전략을 수립하는데 기여함이 목적이다. 국내 첨단산업의 시장 활성화를 위해서는 연구 개발에만 그칠 것이 아니라, 산학연 협력체계의 구축 등 산업화 과정이 필요함을 시사한다.

This study aims to analyze the impact of the concentration of high-tech industries on the regional economy and derive policy implications. Using a spatial econometric model, the study find that the specialization of high-tech manufacturing had a significant positive effect on the regional economy. In contrast, the specialization of the high-tech service industry does not significantly impact. Unlike the high-tech manufacturing industry, the high-tech service industry increases productivity through information exchange based on knowledge accumulation, suggesting that it is necessary to consider competition and diversity in addition to specialization. The results of this study intended to contribute to the establishment of regional economic development strategies in setting policy directions in the high-tech industry sector led by the central government and local governments. In addition, it suggests that the industrialization process, including the establishment of an industry-academia-government cooperation system, is necessary to revitalize the domestic high-tech industry, not just research and development.
