(주)인바디(InBody)의 기업사와 비즈니스모델에 관한 연구: 디지털 헬스케어 산업을 중심으로

A Study on InBody Business History and Business Model: Focusing on the Digital Healthcare Industry

인공지능, 빅데이터, 클라우드와 같은 지능정보기술의 발전, 코로나19로 인한 비대면경제 확산, 인구 고령화에 따른 만성질환자 비중 증가로 인해 기존의 헬스케어 산업은 빠르게 디지털 전환이 이루어지고 있다. 디지털 헬스케어 산업은 4차 산업혁명 시대의 핵심산업으로, 디지털 헬스케어 산업 내 많은 수요자와 공급자를 양산하면서 향후 산업이 지속적으로 성장할 것으로 전망된다. 본 연구는 디지털 헬스케어 산업의 다양한 공급자 중에서 생체 전기 저항 분석(BIA, Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis)을 이용한 체성분분석기 제조 및 판매를 주요 사업으로 하는 (주)인바디(InBody)를 대상으로 인바디의 기업사를 분석하였다. 그리고 인공지능 기술력을 바탕으로 진화된 가장 최근의 경영환경 및비즈니스 모델을 제시하여 국내의 디지털 헬스케어 산업 활성화 및 산업 내 공급자의 경쟁력 제고를 위한 경영전략에 대해 심층적으로 규명하였다.

The existing healthcare industry is undergoing a rapid digital transformation as a result of the development of intelligent information technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing, the spread of the non- face-to-face economy due to the global pandemic of 2019 (Covid-19), and the increase in the proportion of chronically ill people due to the aging population. The digital healthcare industry is a pivotal sector in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era. It is anticipated that the industry will continue to expand, generating a multitude of consumers and suppliers within the digital healthcare domain. This study examines the corporate history of InBody, a company that specializes in the manufacture and sale of body composition analyzers utilizing bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), among other suppliers within the digital healthcare industry. Furthermore, the most recent business environment and business model, which were developed based on artificial intelligence technology, were presented. Additionally, the management strategy to revitalize the digital healthcare industry in Korea and enhance the competitiveness of providers in the industry was identified in depth.
