Expanding South Korea's Middle Power Leadership and Improving Human Rights in North Korea

본 논문은 윤석열 정부 들어서 한미동맹의 성격이 국제적 역할 강화로 진화하는 외적 요인으로 냉전적 국제질서의 부상과 그것이 과거 냉전 시기와 다른 특징적 요소와 이에 따른 한미동맹의 성격 변화를 살펴보고 있다. 이를 구체적으로 포괄적 한미동맹으로의 진화에 따른 한미동맹의 국제적 역할 확대와 중견국 한국의 국제적 리더십 확대로 보면서 국제적 역할 확대 영역에서 윤석열 정부가 북한 인권문제를 적극적으로 제기하고 국제사회에서 공론화하는 방향과 필요성을 살펴보고 있다.

This paper examines the rise of the Cold War international order that differ from the past Cold War period, and changes in the nature of the Korea-U.S. alliance due to the evolution of the nature of the Korea-U.S. alliance into an international role in the Yoon Suk Yeol administration, as well as the development of the Korea-U.S. alliance into a comprehensive Korea-U.S. alliance. Based on this background, this paper looking at the direction in which the Yoon Suk Yeol government actively raises the North Korean human rights issue and publicizes it in the international community in the area of expanding its international role, seeing this as an expansion of the international role of the Korea-U.S. alliance.
