가족기업의 승계요인과 티몬스 기업가 정신이 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

A Study on Succession Factors in Family Businesses and the Impact of Timmons' Entrepreneurial Spirit on Management Performance

가족기업의 성공적인 승계는 국가경쟁력과 핵심 역량을 강화시키는 요인으로 매우 중요한 이슈이다. 가족기업 승계요인과 기업가 정신 관련된 대다수의 연구는 개인의 특성에 집중한 밀러(Miller)의 기업가 정신(혁신성, 위험감수성, 진취성) 관점에서 많이 연구되었다. 반면에 기업가적 프로세스(기회, 자원, 팀)를 강조한 티몬스(Timmons) 기업가 정신 이론 관점에서의 연구는 중요성에 비해 현재 관련 연구는 많지 않다. 티몬스 기업가 정신은 비교적 규모가 작은 벤처기업, 스타트기업 등에 많이 활용되는 것으로 본 연구대상인 규모가 작은 가족기업연구에서 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 가족기업의 승계요인과 티몬스 기업가정신이 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 가족기업 CEO만을 연구 대상으로 설문조사를 수행(유효표본수 130개)하였고, 구조방정식(Smart PLS)으로 분석하였다. 본 연구는 승계요인, 티몬스의 기업가 정신, 경영성과 간의 영향을 조사하였다. 즉 본 연구에서는 승계요인➔티몬스 기업가정신➔경영성과의 관계를 분석하였고, 분석결과, 의사소통은 승계요인 중 승계의지와 네트워크를 매개하여 경영성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 승계를 위한 준비 및 계획 과정에서 승계의지, 네트워크 및 의사소통이 매우 중요함을 알 수 있었다.

Successful succession of family businesses is a very important issue as it strengthens national competitiveness and core capabilities. Most studies related to family business succession factors and entrepreneurship have been conducted from Miller's perspective of entrepreneurship (innovativeness, risk-taking, and enterprising), which focuses on individual characteristics. On the other hand, compared to the importance of research from the perspective of Timmons' entrepreneurship theory, which emphasizes the entrepreneurial process (opportunity, resources, team), there are currently not many related studies. Timmons Entrepreneurship is widely used in relatively small venture companies and start-up companies, and we attempted to analyze it in the study of small-scale family businesses, which are the subject of this study. In this study, we analyzed the succession factors of family businesses and the impact of Timmons' entrepreneurship on management performance. A survey was conducted targeting only family business CEOs (130 effective samples), and was analyzed using structural equations (Smart PLS). This study investigated the impact between succession factors, Timmons' entrepreneurial spirit, and management performance. In other words, this study analyzed the relationship between succession factors ➔ Timmons entrepreneurship ➔ management performance, and as a result of the analysis, it was found that communication had a significant impact on management performance by mediating succession will and network among the succession factors. Through this study, it was found that succession will, network, and communication are very important in the preparation and planning process for succession.
