The Effect of Dental Hygiene Students' Professional Values and Self-Efficacy on Their Career Decision Level

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between dental hygiene students' professional values, self-efficacy, and career decision level. Methods: Data was collected from March 27 to April 15, 2024, and the final analysis subjects were 171 people. Results: Factors that significantly influenced the level of career decision-making of dental hygiene students were health status, major selection motivation, and professional values, and the explanatory power was 16.3%. Conclusions: It is necessary to establish clear professional values through customized career guidance counseling and aptitude tests, and a strategic job preparation program is needed to improve the career decision-making level of dental hygiene students.
