Improvement of Oral Health Symptoms and Satisfaction with Oral Care Program for Periodontal Patients

Objectives: The purpose is to provide a basis for establishing an oral care program for periodontal disease patients implemented in dental medical institutions. Methods: An oral care program was implemented for 80 adult periodontal disease patients visiting Y Dental Hospital located in Y City. Results: As a result of analyzing the subjective oral health symptoms that the study subjects felt due to periodontal disease before and after the oral care program, oral health symptoms before and after were statistically significantly alleviated in all items (p<.05). Conclusions: Overall, it is believed that the oral care program implemented by dental hygienists improves the oral health symptoms of patients with periodontal disease and contributes to increasing trust and satisfaction with dental medical institutions and dental hygienists who provide treatment
