전문대학 간호학과 임상실습교육의 현황과 임상간호교수제에 대한 인식 조사

Status of Clinical Practice Education in College Nursing Programs and Perceptions of the Clinical Nursing Professorship System

Purpose : This study sought to determine the current status of clinical practice education in Korean college nursing programs and perceptions of the Clinical Nursing Professorship System aimed at enhancing educational quality. Method : A survey was conducted among 42 representatives of nursing departments at colleges. Data on clinical practice education status, perceptions of the System, and potential implementation strategies were collected. Results : Clinical practice education faced challenges such as limited clinical sites and instructor shortages, with only 19% and 85.7% of colleges having affiliated hospitals and offering practice during vacations, respectively. A total of 90.5% of respondents supported the Clinical Nursing professorship System, citing benefits such as better integration of current clinical practices and easier recruitment of qualified instructors, although challenges such as securing cooperation from universities and clinical sites were anticipated. Conclusion : the Clinical Nursing professorship System can improve nursing education by providing high-quality, practice-based instruction. However, collaboration among colleges or universities, clinical institutions, and government support is essential for the successful introduction of the Clinical Nursing professorship System.
