Research on Visual Symbol Extraction Methods and Cultural Creative Design Approaches for Weifang Kites Based on Artificial Intelligence Algorithms
With the flourishing development of the cultural and creative industry, the integration of traditional crafts and modern technology has become increasingly important. This paper focuses on traditional kites as the research subject and proposes an innovative method combining artificial intelligence technology with cultural and creative product design. We establish a composite model based on “YOLO + fine-grained classification + generative model (GAN),” using YOLOv5 for pattern detection, combining ResNet model for fine-grained feature classification, and utilizing GAN technology to generate innovative designs. The research results include methodological approaches for kite visual recognition and cultural creative applications under artificial intelligence algorithms. The paper summarizes the advantages and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence into kitebased cultural creative products. Through this research, we achieve the fusion of traditional and modern aesthetics, providing new technical assistance and design approaches for the innovative development of cultural creative products and relevant designers.
