Digital empowerment of cultural relics and works of art not only promotes conservation and inheritance, but also gives rise to a digital art market. Blockchain, virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D scanning and artificial intelligence technologies have shifted the traditional collection to digital art assets with both cultural and economic values, bringing new opportunities to the art field. 3D scanning improves restoration accuracy, VR broadens viewing channels, blockchain guarantees transaction transparency, and artificial intelligence assists in the interpretation of collectibles and analysis of price trends. The value of digital art assets is highlighted, and copyright protection, value assessment and transaction regulation have become the key to management. This paper outlines the evolution of the role of cultural relics and works of art, analyzes the effectiveness of the application of digital technology in protection, restoration, display and trading, and emphasizes the market value and management methods, and proposes the future research direction.
