이 논문의 목적은 20세기와 21세기의 대표 작곡가로 꼽히는 프랑스의 작곡가 앙리 듀티외(Henri Dutilleux, 1916~2013)의 플루트와 피아노를 위한 소나티네(Sonatine pour flute et piano, 1943)에 대한 분석을 통해 플루트 연주자들을 비롯해 교육자들의 연주학적 측면의 이해를 향상시키는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이 곡은 고난도의 테크닉과 섬세한 톤 조절 및 자유로운 프레이징의 구성을 표현해야 하는 카덴자들의 포함된 곡으로 고난도의 연습법과 기술을 요구하는 곡이다. 프랑스의 다양한 테크닉과 고도의 연주기법의 향상을 위해 교육 자료들을 출판하여 플루트 연주기법의 체계를 완성해온 대표적인 인물인 마르셀 모이즈(Marcel Moyse, 1889-1984)는 플루트의 다양한 연주 기술을 담은 교재들을 집필했다. 그 가운데 모이즈의 ‘스케일과 아르페지오(Gammes et Arpeggios)’에서 도출한 플루트 연주 기술과 다양한 음색 표현 연습법 중 3가지 연주기법인 테크닉(technic), 음색(tone) 그리고 프레이징(phrasing) 향상법에 대해 초점을 맞추어 분석한다. 듀티외의 플루트와 피아노를 위한 소나티네를 올바른 작곡가의 의도로 접근하며 그로 인한 효율적인 연주기법의 연습법을 제시하는 데 목적을 두고 있다.
Sonatine pour Flute et Piano (1943) is a representative flute piece by Henri Dutilleux(1916-2013), considered a great composer of the 20th and 21st centuries. Sonatine contains a variety of cadenzas that must express high-level technique, delicate tone control, and free phrasing. It is a piece which requires detailed practice and high-level techniques. Though he has not composed many works, he has made in various genres for instruments, voice, and orchestra. Throughout his life, he has refused not only to join musical schools but also to belong to a particular group, and his approach to music has resulted in his individual and unique style of music. Each piece is well-thought-out and constructed with great sense. Dutilleux composed several test pieces for wind instruments for Conservatoire Competitions, and Sonatine pour Flute et Piano is one of them. This piece shows expressive reservations about its unoriginal musical language. This Sonatine pour Flute et Piano shows virtuosity, rhythmic flexibility, seductive harmonies with undeniable identity. Marcel Moyse (1889-1984) published effective educational materials to improve various and advanced flute performance techniques. In this article, three of Moyse’s flute primary performance techniques (fingering, tone, and phrasing) are focused on Moyse’s collection such as ‘Gammes et Apreggios.’ This paper represents by specifically substituting it into Dutilleux’s Sonatine as well as it presents an efficient practice method. Therefore, this paper aims to improve the understanding of Dutilleux’s Sonatine to perform the right aspects of educators and flutists by suggesting efficient practice methods.
